The garage is currently busy replacing the fan and fortunately, my extended warranty pays R8000.00 (about 900 USD) towards it. We have checked the aircon fluid level and pressures and all seems normal. The second alarm indicator is the same, but has the following text / display warning "Coolant, Stop, turn engine off" which indicate excessive coolant temperature. According to the owner's manual, it mean "The cooling fan for the coolant is malfunctioning". The one that comes on is just a image of a thermometer and water. There is 2 alarm displays on the digital system. Any idea if there is a DIY around somewhere Ive tried searching and cant seem to find one. At some stage before the engine overheats, the fan should kick in, but this does not happen. Once the engine is getting hotter, the temperature indicator does show an increase in temperature. The analog display indicates the correct temperature, about 85 deg C.
